There will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres on May holidays and extra public transport on May 4

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking-lots and customer service centres as well as in the usage of workday tickets during holidays on May 1-5 as well as on May 10. On May 4 there will be also extra public transport on some routes after 23.00 so that passengers could reach comfortably the places where festive events will be held and then return home.

On May 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 public transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses) will run according to the holiday schedule, but on May 10 (transferred workday) it will run according to the workday schedule. On May 10 (transferred workday) Saturday’s schedule will be effective.

There will be extra public transport on some routes on May 4. Due to festive events in Lucavsala, bus No. 40 will let passengers to get on and off at stop „Lucavsala”, but on some routes vehicles of larger capacity will run on these days.

For passengers to be able to reach more comfortably the places where festive events will be held, on May 4 after 23.00 there will be extra public transport on the following routes: on tram routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11, on bus routes No. 12/23/26 (combined), 37 and 52, on trolleybus routes No. 14, 15, 17, 18 and 22 (see the Annex). Other public routes will have enough runs after 23:00 to deliver passengers to city districts.

The night transport will run in the nights of May 1/2, 2/3 and 3/4. We remind that in the night transport, which was taken over by minibus company "Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" on April 4, tickets are only sold by driver for EUR 1.50.

Those passengers having bought tickets for workdays should take into account that these tickets will be invalid on May 1, 2 and 5, yet they will be valid on May 10 (transferred workday).

On May 1 and 4 only one customer service centre of "Rīgas satiksme" will be open – at Spīķeru Street 1 (from 10:00 till 16:00), others will be closed. On May 2, 3 and 5 all customer service centres will be open as on Saturdays (from 10:00 till 16:00), except the one located at Brīvības Street 49/53 (in the former Rīgas Modes building), which will be closed on this days. On May 10 all customer service centres will be open as usually on workdays.

On May 1 and 4 the pay parking-lots of Riga municipality, which are managed by “Rīgas satiksme”, will be available free of charge, except for the underground parking-lots next to the House of Congresses, where parking will be for pay. On May 2 parking services will be charged for as on workdays, on May 3 and 10 as on Saturdays, but on May 5 they will be free of charge, except Old Riga, Vecāķi and the underground parking-lots next to the House of Congresses.
